The Somali government has ratified seven oil production sharing agreements (PSAs) with U.S.-based Coastline Exploration. These agreements, amended five times since their original signing in February, pave the way for offshore deep-water exploration. Coastline has already made a $7 million payment to the Somali Central Bank as a signature bonus, indicating the financial commitment to the project (Offshore Technology).
